Heike was born & raised in Germany. Growing up in a family filled with German Shepherd sport dogs. At 14 she began competing in Local level BH, AD, SchH1, SchH2 & SchH3 Trials.
Working her way up to competing not only at the local level but qualifying for and competing in Regionals & Nationals. Working with K9 Officers in Germany as well. With a solid foundation in not only Sport Dogs, but also Personal Protection training, Breeding Surveys and a few Shows, her sights were set on coming to the US.
Heike came to the United States where she trained with K9 Officers and their handlers. With her love of Pitbulls and loathing of fighting dogs, she began a small rehabilitation rescue. Running that program for 2 years she rehabbed and rehomed 30+ dogs in Tennessee.
Moving to Northern Arizona Heike's current pack includes Belgian Malinois, Czech bred German Shepherd, and a West German working-line bred Shepherd.
She trains her own dogs for Personal Protection with a decoy in Prescott Valley as well as a Czech trainer in Phoenix. A few years ago Heike decided to expand her training full time to obedience for pets. Heike also began working with a Husky rescue rehabbing Euthanasia listed Husky's.
Heike trained with another Dog Trainer for 3 years prior to expanding out to open her own business. Heike has trained & handled hundreds of dogs in her lifetime, giving her a wide variety of invaluable insight & hands on experience most trainers lack. Heike excels in working with canines experiencing severe behavior issues. Evaluating the dog, she is able to pin point the areas causing behavior problems.
Heike is also currently training for Willow Tree Dog Training, located in Phoenix.
